Special to take penalty for Super Eagles – Dessers reacts to goal against Ghana

Rangers forward, Cyriel Dessers says it’s a special feeling to score for Nigeria against perennial rivals, Black Stars of Ghana.
Dessers opened scoring for the Super Eagles in the 2-1 win against Otto Addo’s men on Friday night.
The forward broke the deadlock with a penalty 10 minutes before the break following a handball in Ghana’s box.

It was his second goal in five outings for the Super Eagles.
“I asked Kelechi if I could take it, he said, you can do it,” Dessers told the Super Eagles media after the game.
“It’s special to take a penalty for the Super Eagles because it’s for a whole country and in a special game against Ghana, you’ll definitely want to score.”
The striker also reflected on his own performance in the game.
“First half I played a really good game. Second half was a little bit more difficult but I think it was more difficult for the whole team,” he added
“This is a good thing for me to come back to the team and to play a good game, to win an important game. Hopefully this can be a step up for the future.”
